HYPERHIDROSIS
Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterized by excessive perspiration on the hands, feet and under the arms. Sweat is your body's temperature regulator. Severe sweating significantly exceeds the body's normal requirements for cooling.

While excessive sweating may occur with some medical conditions, it typically has no known cause. A careful medical history is important in identifying any potential underlying medical problems.

Botox® Cosmetic for Hyperhidrosis
Botox® Cosmetic is used successfully to treat hyperhidrosis. Small doses of Botox® Cosmetic can be injected under the arms to temporarily block the mechanism that promotes perspiration. Your practitioner will discuss the specific characteristics that make you a healthy candidate for using Botox® Cosmetic in this way.
