TREATING REDNESS AND FACIAL VEINS
WITH LIGHT THERAPY

Phototherapy with BBL™ (BroadBand Light) is a versatile method used to improve skin's clarity. BBL™ treats conditions arising from aging and sun damage, such as freckles, age spots and uneven texture, as well as acne and unwanted hair growth. Small facial veins may also be treated with BBL™. Any area of the body, including the face, back of the hands, neck, chest and shoulders, may be treated with BBL™. A procedure may take a few minutes to a half-hour, depending on the size of the treatment area.

BBL™ delivers intense light (not laser) energy that gently and effectively heats the upper layers of the skin, including the dermis where it stimulates fibroblasts to regenerate the collagen that supports the skin's elasticity. BBL™ heating pulses are accompanied by precise temperature control, assuring your complete comfort and safety during the procedure.

This restorative process improves skin's clarity by eliminating fine vessels that may cause redness and reducing excess melanin that may cause hyper pigmentation. Fine lines and pores will appear less noticeable, and sun spots and uneven pigmentation will fade. After treatment, the skin's surface is more vibrant and youthful-looking and has an even color and texture.

BBL™ is a noninvasive procedure so topical anesthesia is not required. You may experience some redness at the treatment site that will resolve within a few hours. After treatment, your skin will be sensitive to UV light, and you should protect it daily with a sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher. You can resume your normal activities, including applying makeup, immediately after the procedure.
