REDUCING REDNESS AND FACIAL VEINS WITH
LASER TREATMENT

Candela Vbeam® Perfecta Laser
Candela’s Vbeam® Perfecta Laser is a state-of-the-art choice for treating red lesions in the skin, including spider angioma, facial veins, rosacea, and broken vessels from sun damage. Vbeam® delivers an intense, but gentle burst of light into the skin, targeting red blood vessels. The light is absorbed by the blood vessels, effectively narrowing them and diminishing their appearance on the surface.

A protective, cooling mist is emitted over the skin during the procedure to help minimize discomfort or post-procedure redness. Depending on the size and location of the treatment area, the procedure lasts 15 to 30 minutes, and most patients require no anesthesia. Some results are visible as soon as the treatment is completed. Best results are usually visible within one week of treatment, and benefits are improved with multiple treatments.

Is Candela Vbeam® a healthy choice for you?
Your practitioner will discuss the specific characteristics that make you a healthy candidate for Candela Vbeam®, but the procedure is considered safe for most patients. It is important for patients to have a precise diagnosis of the skin's condition before choosing any laser treatment; diagnostic accuracy is the first step in selecting the right course of laser treatment, and is one of the most important ways to assure a successful outcome.

Are there side effects after Candela Vbeam® treatments?

Mild side effects are usually temporary and may include:

  • slight reddening of the skin in the treated area

  • mild swelling which diminishes with a few hours

  • minimal bruising, called purpura, which resolves within a few days

It is recommended that sun exposure be minimized before and after treatment, to improve results, and a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher be used regularly for added protection.
