ACNE & ACNE SCARS
Acne is a skin condition involving plugged pores, inflamed pimples and deeper lumps. Acne occurs on the face as well as the neck, chest, back, shoulders, and upper arms. Although most teenagers get some form of acne, adults in their 20s, 30s, 40s or even older can develop acne. Acne can be disfiguring, and left untreated, acne can leave permanent scars.
Where permanent scarring from acne is a cosmetic concern, treatments including laser, dermabrasion, dermal fillers and chemical peels have had great success in reducing the appearance of scars.
